Home Hardware stores in Haliburton and Minden have partnered with Point in Time Centre for Children, Youth and Parents, and the Minden Community Food Centre, to provide backpacks and school supplies to students and families throughout the Haliburton Highlands.
The donations are part of an annual initiative that provided 1,200 backpacks to students via a group of 13 Home Hardware stores owned and operated by Dan and Emily Moulton.
“We know many local families continue to face financial challenges, and the cost of preparing children for a new school year can add even more pressure,” said dealer-owner, Dan Moulton.
“We’re proud to support families in the communities we serve and hope these backpacks and school supplies help give local students a positive start to the year.”
