The Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Aid Society (KHCAS) has a new executive director as of next week.
Amanda Baker-Colacicco officially starts June 15. She is the former executive director of Family & Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox & Addington. Via a KHCAS press release, the new staff lead said, “the most meaningful change comes from working respectfully alongside communities and partners, with a focus on equitable and accessible supports.”
Board chair Len Lifchus thanked interim ED Rosaleen Cutler, for helping the organization “through challenging times.” She was appointed as a supervisor before becoming ED.
Lifchus said the new board hired a consultant for the recruitment with the board making a final decision in mid April.
“Amanda is a seasoned child welfare executive with extensive statutory, operational, and governance leadership experience across Ontario’s child welfare system,” LIfchus said.
He added she is a registered social worker with advanced executive leadership training. She’ll oversee a strategic plan and finish a deficit
management plan and operational review work plan.
