SIRCH awarded its ‘opportunity looks like hard work’ award last Tuesday (July 7).
This year’s recipient is Emma McGregor. Marketing manager, Laurie McCaig, said that while attending Haliburton Highlands Secondary School, Emma balanced school with a customer service role at Shoppers Drug Mart, “demonstrating the kind of work ethic, kindness, and commitment that makes a difference both in the workplace and in our community.”
The award recognizes students who show up, work hard, and make a positive impact through customer service.
This year, SIRCH, along with Stacy McLean and Steve Todd of Todd’s Independent, presented one $500 award to support a local student as they pursue their future goals.
